FOOD & CLOTHES
CLOSET
For more than ten years, DOZ has collaborated with Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, as well as The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Our mission includes providing nutritious food, clothing, and diapers to underserved families throughout the Sacramento Region. Last year alone, we assisted over 65,000 families, including the homeless population.

Sacramento's Winter Sanctuary provides food and shelter during the months of December through March, for the homeless citizens of our city.
In 2017, DOZ, housed and fed over 1,500 less fortunate citizens. Over the past seven years, DOZ has partnered with Volunteers of America and Sac Steps Forward to provide this much needed service and assistance.

ABOUT US
The Daughters of Zion (DOZ) Enterpryz is a 501c3 non-profit organization, dedicated to
building healthy individuals and families in low income, under-represented, and disadvantaged
communities and closing the gap on homelessness and food deprivation.
Over the last 15 years, the DOZ has been a cornerstone and vital part of the impoverished South
Sacramento Community. Our mission is to prepare youth and adults to be leaders and change
agents within our communities and implement local initiatives to reduce homelessness and food
deprivation. We accomplish this mission by offering weekly, monthly, and quarterly learning
programs to prepare youth to succeed academically, and adults to succeed professionally. This
unique and holistic approach integrates youth and adult learning and inspires family
involvement, strengthens the family and ultimately our communities. We have had marginal
success rates with family reunification, low income students matriculating to college, adults
maintaining & sustaining permanent housing and employment.
In 2017, our partnerships with Sacramento Food Bank Food Services (SFBFS), the Emergency
Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and the Sacramento Steps Forward, helped in hunger
reduction and our food, clothing, and shelter program serviced over 9000 families and provided
shelter for over 1500 homeless citizens in the Sacramento region.
